Thousands of pilgrims travel to Spain each year to walk the Camino de Santiago, or Way of St. James, trails that stretch across Europe ending at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela where the apostles remains are buried. When St. James day falls on a Sunday the cathedral declares a Holy Year attracting more tourists...The walk takes pilgrims through the Spanish countryside and cities on trails, fireroads and highways.
